I had a chance to meet Danny Seo at an Apartment Therapy meetup hosted by Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan at ABC Carpet and Home. He has a easy, dry wit that’s self-deprecating at times. He’s really nice. 
I chatted with him briefly and gave him a small box with a couple upcycled candles I made from plastic molds that was inspired by one of his DIY projects. He said he was going to show my candles to his friends as we walked out of ABC. I didn’t quite believe him or put stock in him even giving my candles a second thought. 
A few days later my candles made it onto his website! My candles also prompted him to perfect his glass candle mold idea. He came up with an ingenious method of breaking the glass without breaking the candle. The results are stunning uniquely shaped candles. He even made colored ones.
